Universal Beijing Has Revealed First Look At Rides And Attractions
Universal has a brand new theme park coming in Beijing, with many attractions, including Harry Potter Land, the Minions and Jurassic Park.
While the coronavirus pandemic continues and it is not always easy to travel, Universal has revealed its first look at rides and attractions in a brand new theme park. However, thrill-seekers can start getting excited over the new resort, which opens in May next years.
Universal Beijing’s attractions
Universal Beijing will include lands dedicated to some of the film studio’s most iconic franchises, including Jurassic World, Harry Potter, Kung Fu Panda, Despicable Me and Transformers, plus classics like Super Nintendo World.
The resort revealed some time ago that it would include seven themed lands, but the images have only recently been released. The theme park is set to open during 2021, so fans have to hope they will be able to travel to Beijing by that time. Universal Beijing has released a video, giving a flyover of the resort, which can be enjoyed here.
What is on offer in Universal Beijing?
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Each of the seven lands is fully immersive, meaning visitors will be transported to the world of their favorite films. This includes everything from the design, rides, décor and restaurants. For instance, Harry Potter fans will have the chance to explore “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” which is similar to that in Universal Orlando.
The world includes a version of Hogwarts, with key settings including Dumbledore’s Office, the Gryffindor Common Room, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom and the Room of Requirement.
While visiting the world, guests can enjoy some delicious Butterbeer from the drinks stalls along the way. For thrills and spills, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a fun rollercoaster to try out.
Jurassic World Isla Nubar
For those looking for scary dinosaurs, Jurassic World Isla Nublar is the place to be. This immersive land will bring the dinosaurs to life with loads of surprises. The world is set up with four zones, each offering a different interactive adventure, details of which have been kept under wraps.
Daring fans can enjoy a take on Jurassic World Adventure, which is a terrifying ride into the wilderness of Nublar Island. Keep a watch out for the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptors and Indominus Rex along the way!
Transformers
The Transformers themed land is the first of its kind in the world, where visitors will be surrounded by Autobots and futuristic buildings. This land offers epic rollercoasters including the theme park’s biggest ride, the Decepticoaster, along with the Transformers: Battle for the AllSpark attraction.
Kung Fu Panda: Land of Awesomeness
Kung Fu Panda fans will enjoy a journey through the Valley of Peace to meet Po and his friends. The village offers themed restaurants to enjoy a tasty treat. Alternatively, visitors can enjoy an epic log flume ride, where they will join forces with Po to battle Tian Sha.
Minion Land
Perfect for the smaller kids, Minion Land allows them to interact with mischievous minions, while exploring their colorful land, which is chock full of surprises. Bigger kids will enjoy the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride, where they are launched into a trip through Gru’s Super Villain laboratory.
