On Friday, Delta Air Lines announced a new service from Los Angeles to Auckland, New Zealand and other great destinations. As travel gets back to normal levels and more, Delta is spreading its wings and offering flights to popular destinations.

Delta announces new service from Los Angeles to Auckland

Delta Air Lines made a major announcement on Friday of a brand new service from Los Angeles to Auckland, New Zealand. In fact, starting next fall, they will be the only US carrier to serve the route.

Moreover, the airline announced other exciting routes from the US to Europe. One will be a transatlantic route from New York JKF to lovely Geneva in Switzerland. Another addition is flights from Atlanta, Georgia, to the coastal city of Nice in France. Besides European destinations, Delta will also be adding more flights to Tel Aviv in Israel.

In the wake of the pandemic, Delta Air Lines is actively restoring routes, as well as expanding to other destinations. In fact, the airline will offer flights to destinations that have not been traveled since the pandemic.

In the summer and fall of 2023, Delta will offer flights to various exciting cities in Europe that it had previously stopped operating. These include cities like Berlin, Dusseldorf, Edinburgh, Geneva and Stuttgart.

To look at the new destinations in more detail, the service between Los Angeles and Auckland, New Zealand is set to start on October 28. However, this is just one of a number of popular destinations from Los Angeles, including services to London-Heathrow, Tahiti and Paris. In fact, this year Delta will serve 53 destinations from Los Angeles in 2023.

Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines offers great routes between Los Angeles, California, and various Latin American countries, thanks to the airline’s partnership with LATAM, while LAX airport is undergoing renovations to enhance passengers’ experiences before boarding their plane.

When it comes to Atlanta, Georgia, Delta is the leading airline and serves more than 210 destinations. Moreover, in 2023, the airline is expanding to Europe and will be offered more alternatives as follows:

New flights, new destinations

  • Atlanta to Tel Aviv – daily flights from April 16
  • From Atlanta to Nice, starting on May 12

From New York JFK, the airline will offer the following:

  • From New York to Paris: daily route will begin on May 25
  • From New York to Rome: daily route
  • From New York to Geneva: new route
  • From New York to London-Gatwick: new route
  • From New York to Berlin: returning flight

So far, the airline has yet to specific dates for the new and returning flights from New York. However, it did highlight the renovations and upgrades to the local hub and to JFK airport.

All in all, Americans can expect new travel routes, allowing them to explore New Zealand’s capital and its surrounding unique landscapes. Alternatively, the airline will offer great opportunities to visit and experience Europe.

Recently, Delta also announced that they will be offering passengers free fast Wi-Fi. Initially, the new service will be available on domestic flights. However, the airline said that selective international flights will also offer this benefit soon.
