If you are heading to Europe this summer, getting around popular locations just got easier as Uber expands into new markets. Uber ramps up locations in Europe for summer 2023

The popular ride-sharing app, Uber is getting ready for increased demand from travelers that this likely record-breaking summer will bring. In fact, it is adding new products to parts of Croatia, France, Greece, Malta, Portugal and Spain. This is obviously great news for American travelers, especially those who already have an account.

Meanwhile, even though some of these added countries already have the Uber service in major cities, the new offerings focus mostly on seasonal hotspots where ride-sharing options are currently lacking.

Along with adding new locations, Uber has also added new features to make summer travel easier. Users of the app likely know that earlier this year, the company added options to make airport pick-ups easier. However, they are now taking this further by also launching booking platforms for busses, trains and Uber flights.

Meanwhile, the ride-share app is adding a seasonal Uber Reserve option, letting customers book their ride up to 90 minutes in advance with a locked-in price.

Greece gets Uber Boats

Another option is Uber Boats, which is already available in London, but looks to be added elsewhere too. Meanwhile, the service offered by Thames Clippers is already popular and shuttles travelers from more than 20 piers across London. In fact, they not only cater to tourists but also to daily commuters in the city.

With the addition of Uber Boats in Greece, this will reportedly be a little more expensive, but a lot more luxurious, and a lot of fun. Travelers in Mykonos will be able to book private speedboats to zoom them from point A to point B in style.

The service will be available on demand and can be reserved and paid for in the Uber app. This lessens the need for haggling with local taxi drivers, along with dealing with cash, which can often be a hassle.

Uber in the islands

Part of the expansion to the Spanish Uber includes the popular Balearic Island of Mallorca and the Canary Island of Tenerife. Both destinations are notorious for tax and transportation hassles. However, having the ride-share app available will make matters far easier in the summer of 2023.

Meanwhile, Italy’s islands of Sicily and Sardinia are both welcoming Uber back after a hiatus since the last summer season. Meanwhile, the lovely island of Malta is also helping travelers handle the traffic this summer.

Ride-share in Croatia and Portugal

Travelers to Croatia will benefit this summer from Uber services with the app once more being available in the popular cities of Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Split, Zadar and Pag Island.

Meanwhile, the new option in Portugal is on the country’s wonderful Algarve coast where traveling from one beautiful beach town to another will be easier than ever.

More Uber in France

Travelers in summer favorites in France like Biarritz, Bordeaux and Saint-Jean-de-Luz will get to benefit from Uber pop-ups this summer. One option of note is that travelers in Bordeaux will be able to use Uber’s new premium product, “Uber Berline,” which is available for sightseeing trips and drives into the region’s famous vineyards.

Enjoy your European break this summer with more convenience in getting from A to B in new locations. Find out more on Uber’s website.
