The holidays are officially upon us, and if you are anything like me, you have spent the last few weeks shopping like a mad woman, planning and attending family events, trying to cross off everyone on your gift list, decorating your entire house, and trying not to pass out from exhaustion.
The holidays are a hectic and crazy time, and it seems like there is so much to do that less and less we are sitting down and enjoying our family traditions, time with our loved ones, and the overall nostalgia of it all.
In my house, nothing says Christmas and gets the holiday cheer really flowing like Snoopy and the Peanuts gang. This month has been flying by, and it seems like nothing is anywhere close to being completed before Christmas, I was totally stressed out.
The other day I spontaneously sat down with my family for an unplanned viewing of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” It was absolutely magical and reminded me of what the holidays are really about – family, magic, memories, and positive vibes. There’s something truly uplifting about watching Snoopy and the Red Baron, Linus and Pig Pen, and of course Charlie Brown’s adorably ugly Christmas tree. And, who could forget Lucy?
Not only did “A Charlie Brown Christmas” remind what the holidays were all about, but it also inspired me to get a few sentimental Peanuts inspired gifts for some of the loved ones on my shopping list. Another amazing Peanuts, inspired Christmas gift are Snoopy Itty Bitty’s from Hallmark. The super tiny plush toys make the perfect stocking stuffer for Snoopy fans. Or, you can fasten a ribbon or clip to them, and they can double as a Christmas tree ornament. I ordered a couple as gifts, and then a couple extra to add to my Christmas tree this year!
