Good news is out for West Coast travelers as JetBlue is set to launch its first-ever nonstop flight from Los Angeles to Nassau in the Bahamas. The Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board announced the new flight on Tuesday, which launches in the fall of 2023. Read on to find out more about the convenient weekly flight between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Nassau’s Pindling International Airport (NAS). Meanwhile, the airline is also adding two new nonstop routes to St. Kitts and Belize. This makes visiting the Caribbean much easier for U.S. travelers.

West Coast travelers will be able to easily take a quick tropical getaway in the Bahamas from November 4, 2023. This comes as JetBlue announces its once-weekly Saturday service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS), in Nassau, The Bahamas.

Meanwhile, NAS will be introducing U.S. Customs and Immigration Preclearance, as well as U.S. Global Entry. It will also be the first airport outside the U.S. to implement TSA PreCheck.

Joy Jibrilu, CEO of the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board, said in a statement on Tuesday:

We are continuing to see a strong visitation to Nassau Paradise Island from Los Angeles, and we are excited to expand access and offer the first nonstop flight from LAX in the history of the destination.

We are so pleased with the partnership with JetBlue and excited to celebrate this milestone in driving tourism to The Bahamas.

Meanwhile, David Jehn, Vice President of Network Planning and Partnerships at JetBlue, said, “Nassau is a very popular destination among our customers, and we are thrilled to launch the first nonstop flight from Los Angeles to Nassau, pioneering this unique service for an unserved market,” adding:

We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board and introducing the unique offerings of the island to our JetBlue customers.

In other related news, Loop reports that JetBlue is also expanding its connections between the U.S. and more Caribbean countries, including two new nonstop routes to St. Kitts and Belize.

JetBlue will offer nonstop flights between Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) in St. Kitts to John F. Kennedy International (JFK). Moreover, nonstop flights will also fly between Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City and John F. Kennedy International (JFK). Both new nonstop flights will be available three times a week and are set to launch on November 2, 2023.

Moreover, JetBlue also offers nonstop flights to Nassau from seven U.S. locations, including Boston, New York and Fort Lauderdale.
