Wine Gummy Bears Recipe and How-To Guide: Travel Snacks and Treats for Adults

Wine gummy bears are the perfect travel snack and treat for adults. This wine candy recipe and how-to will walk you through making your rose, red, or white wine treats.

While these are rather easy to make, you’re going to need a few things to make your own wine gummy bears. Patience is one of them. The key making sure these treats stay focused on alcohol is to ensure the temperature doesn’t cross the 90-degree threshold. My suggestion is to make these fun wine-infused candies when you have little to no distraction.

Cooking Tools You Will Need:

1 medium-sized pot
Gummy bear molds
1 glass measuring cup
Candy thermometer
1 rubber spatula

Ingredients:

1 cup of wine
1/2 cup pure sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin

How-To Make Wine Gummy Bears:

  1. Gently mix wine, sugar, and gelatin in your medium-sized saucepot and heat on a low setting to ensure you keep the heat below 90 degrees.
  2. Continuously whisk the mixture over low heat for 3 minutes or until all the sugar and gelatin have dissolved.
  3. Carefully pour the heated wine mixture over your chosen gummy bear molds. Use your spatula to scrape away the excess mix.
  4. Allow the molds to set in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.

You can store your extra wine gummy bears in an airtight container or sealable bag in the fridge. These will keep up to 2 weeks. Don’t forget that you can also use different molds if you aren’t partial to bears. The flexible silicone molds seem to be the easiest, but I have actually seen someone use an ice cube tray in a pinch.
